Meredith Grey and Self-obsession
I’ve always been a sucker for medical dramas and yes Grey’s Anatomy has finally drawn me in even though I find the heroine deeply irritating and I am watching two separate series on different channels.
Anyway, to digress briefly, sometimes I say to myself, Sarah, are you self-obsessed? And then I think, well simply asking yourself that question probably means the answer is affirmative.
But then I watch Grey’s Anatomy and I think well, SHE’s self-obsessed so you can’t be THAT bad. But then I think, hmmm, you don’t like her Sarah, and anyway, she’s a ridiculous character in a medical drama and hardly a viable role model.
So THEN I think, well, you wouldn’t be AS self-obsessed if you had a job in an office and had to think about other things like colleagues and work and when is lunchtime and have watercooler moments. Your lack of socialisation probably encourages excessive reflection. and THEN I think, well you know, maybe you are achieving self awareness and this is a good thing. But where’s the line between reflection and obsession? hmmmmmmmmmmm. THEN I wonder what everyone else is thinking? Are you all out there worrying and wondering about yourselves??? I wonder what the mental barometer is? How much is too much? And is it bad?
and now you’ve got me wondering if Eamon O’Cuiv is a good lover. You guys, you guys…

In spite of myself, Grey’s Anatomy has also sucked me in! Meredith’s self-obsession is highly entertaining though, and like all good telly, makes me think my life is a piece of pie!
I like the vet, though. I hope i’d pick him, but i’d probably have McDreamy instead. And I doubt if O’Cuiv would be much of a lover, Sarah! *shudder*
As for self-obsession, we’re all guilty of it. Think it’s called life!

Irritating?
That doesnt even begin to cover how I feel about that bxxxx/sorry character in a soap drama.
I hate her, or at least I would if she was a real person. idshoot her stone dead and I just know the worldwould be a better place for it. In reality no person like her could survive the real world. Surely someone would have executed her on humanitarian grounds – as in save the human race from such a whining wimpy, banal character.
All these American TV shows are junk because people actually start to compare and relate such utter crap as having a relationship with the real world. It like that sex in the city crap. it culd be amusing or mildly fuuny on occasion but essentially it was a complete fabrication that bore no resemblence to the real world and worse still only two of the lead women were not outright ugly or unattractive [The horny one and the wifey one] the rest were dog ugly. SJP jasus she is so unattracive in every sense of the word. Usually you might find a woman has some good qualities like a personality or good looks. She had neither.
Back to Greys me arse. Its just amusing because its so bad! Like when you watch Doc Phil or Opra. utter crap but we become spell bound at such absolute crap coz we can hardly believe its on TV!
When will we see a real backlash against all this rubbish TV?

Yes, SJP, is deeply unattractive in all ways, why do women seem to like her? and why so much advertsing with her in? SITC was entertaining in its own way, but Carrie was the weakest most neurotic unappealing character. Give me Charlotte, yum yum.

Isn’t it hilarious. Almost every girl I know is obsessed with the show. I’m sure it feeds into the fantasy that every woman must have about her doctor (ER seems to do the same) but really, it’s only a tv show. Why is it that women insist on spending so much of their own life gossiping about fictional characters on predictable tv shows?

For the record, I consider SJP to be quite attractive (I’m male) and I’m surprised at all those who don’t. However, don’t ask me to justify myself as I’m not sure I’d be able to do so beyond saying she’s attractive in a quirky way.
She couldn’t hold a candle to Kate from Lost though.

Was intedning to be sharing them as much as illustrating them as an alternative to the TV crap being discussed. Porn is hardly much worse in terms of sucking people in and keeping them in that whole fantasty world/
But i would say that that nakednews thing is one of the funniest things i ever seen.

I am a bit confused as to why you are being so hostile and thus rude to begin with “Who is this Joseph ludher?” which is hard to understand ENGLISH PLEASE I can take typos and spelling errors as a result of them coz I am the worst offender but this “ludher” makes no sense to me at all.
Anyway you then ask about what link I happen to be using as if it was important Should be clear now that it is not! Next we see you pleading for me and others to go public. WHY? To please you and satisfy some weird need you have to know people personally on the internet.
