Bertie’s finances

Posted in Domestic/Relationships at 9:58 am by Sarah

Gavin’s been parsing and analysing Ahern’s statements. I’m getting mixed up with the dates, but why is Ahern mentioning HIS accounts at all? Was this the time he said he had no bank account? (because you know the way banks don’t let separated people have accounts…)

What do you expect from a pig, only a grunt?
What do you expect from a Fianna Fail politician, only a litany of corruption, incompetence, gombeenism and gobshitery?

Tom N’s remarks don’t deserve any comment. No need for me to mention the Paddy Donegan affair again. And as for Gavin, his anti FF crusading over the last few years might lead one to believe that he is not entirely unbiased. I find it just a little ironic that the Tribunal is relying on the most trivial of evidence such as the interest rate which was applied to a Banking customers lodgements to determine what amount might have been lodged at a particular time. As most AIB customers will attest that particular bank wasn’t exactly top of the class when it came to working out what rates were applicable to any account.

“…Tribunal is relying on the most trivial of evidence such as the interest rate which was applied to a Banking customers lodgements to determine what amount might have been lodged at a particular time…”

Oh dear God, he’s at it again. Methinks the Crewser may be a little on the slow side.

    1. They rely on the FX rate, not the interest rate for this.
    2. Neither the FX, nor interest rates are trivial as they are the two main vehicles by which banks make thier money.

I could go on but Crewser would turn this into an “everybody is against me and took my rattle” rant. Plus she never accepts facts and usually engages in some childish remark about leaving her FF heros alone, “ya big blueshirt bullies”.

I think Tom N revealed himself completely in his first response on this thread. To find the type of person he adverted to would be very easy for him. A trip to the nearest mirror would do the trick. Tom N should have looked closely at Mr Garretts own remarks. He stated that it was quite possible that somebody in the branch may have made an error. Is that clear enough Tom N. Maybe Mr Garrett is a little better versed in these things than Tom N. It does not matter whether its bank rates or FX rates AIB have been guilty of serious errors in relation to both over the last few decades.
So Tom N go to specsavers and get those blue tinted lenses changed to a more neutral colour.

I think we have all seen the nastier side of the Crewser on this blog.

This nastiness raises its ugly head again, now that your earlier comment has been revealed to be such rubbish!

Rather than having a go at me, why don’t you read a newspaper? It might broaden that very narrow mind.

When it comes to nastiness and pettiness and bigotry no one on this site on any other surpasses Tom N. Anybody who has any doubts need only read his opening comments at 1 37pm today. If that does not warrant a serious response then nothing does. Poor sensitive Tom N loves dishing it out but doesn’t much care for taking it in return. I for one am not someone who will tolerate this type of crap from anyone.

Might be worth your while to read the Tribunal transcript Crewser… or better yet look at the documentary evidence on the overheads.

    Crewser,
You are trying to pit this as a me verses you insults match in order to avoid the real issue of Ahern’s finances.
If you wish to hurl abuse at me, please do so by email. If you wish to engage in real discussion, do so here. I considered “letting you win” and not posting after your various idiotic posts. However if we live in a world where the person who shouts loudest wins, then we will have a world where reason, logic and evidence are ignored.
This is a forum for discussion and thought, so I will not engage unless you do so in logical. You seem to ignore any news that isn’t pro-FF. Let me know when you grow up!

Gavin, I think your interpretation of anything you might read would be tinged with a certain bias. We have established that a long time ago but due to your imposition of censorship on your site only those views which are entirely in agreement with yours are acceptable. And Tom N, you are the one who started the name calling in the first instance. If this is a forum for discussion as you suggest then perhaps you could control your base instincts for decribing people in the terms you did yesterday and then subsequently decided to whinge because somebody took you to task.

Crewser grow up! As said, if you wish hurtle personal abuse, do it to me privately by email!

Back to the discussion on Ahern’s finances!

Tom N, dont be trying to slither away from your opening and grossly insulting remarks on this thread. But thats typical of your contributions on this site. And I’m sure you’ve been reading just how unsure the AIB officials have suddenly become about what was lodged and when. But then you would not want to know about those matters as you have already found Mr Ahern guilty on all counts anyway if one is to judge things on your opening remarks.

This is worse than trying to reason with a six year old.

OK you win. I insulted Bertie. FF are not corrupt and are shining examples of probity. Now here’s a box of Smarties. Go watch Barney and let the grown ups talk!!
