To add insult to injury they have gone legal demanding that post be taken down – obviously hoping that not too many potential customers will read it! The fact that it hit front page of Digg makes this a serious case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted and lapped the globe a few times over! Go Damo!

Personally, I can’t see why Damian is such a hero to everyone. His post was completely over the top. We’ve all had luggage lost. We all have been victims of poor customer service. Calling people c***s and f**kers isn’t going to endear them to return your luggage. The signing up for websites thing was really strange, but seriously, how abusive must Damian have been to drive someone to do something like that? I don’t think there is any excuse for signing someone up for website services, but then again, neither is there any excuse for behaving in the way Damian says he behaved. i.e. “the whole of Cork airport heard my dissatisfaction” or whatever it is that he typed.

Laura, his post was, course, over the top. But I think most of us took in the spirit it was made. And of course, when he didn’t call individuals “cunts” or “fuckers” he slagged off groups. If I call the government a bunch of cunts, I don’t expect Brian Cowen to taken personal offense.
So far, I’ve seen no evidence to indicate that Damien was abusive to any individual. He followed the correct procedures and got passed on from one person to the next. That’s the reason so many people heard his complaint. And that’s the reason he was frustrated.
