Mad, just read this . It describes Regina Doherty, the Fine Gael candidate in Meath East to a tee!

Back here, the polls have been done and English is safe and Graham is well ahead of Higgins. Unfortunately Higgins is not strong enough to get elected but absorbing too many Fine Gael votes to keep GG ahead of Johnny Brady. As we feared the biggest threat to FG getting 2 seats in Meath West is Higgins himself. He was told and refused to listen. This is SUCH an important swing constituency. It’s one where we can take a seat right off FF. Any Meath West people reading who want FF out of government need to get this one right. GG No. 1.

Course if you actually WANT FF, who think the government is incapable of supplying extra hospital beds and wants to hand our health service over to the private industry, well then fair enough, Johnny Brady is your man.

Can anyone understand the polls? Or perhaps they don’t matter… I’ve lost track of what’s going on and I’m supposed to know because I do a political spot on my radio prog… It looks as if John Waters may be right… is that good… no one voted for him… I’m completely confused… I thought Eoghan Harris might be the kiss of death on Bertie (wrong again Ang)… HELP Sarah!!!

Interesting thing on Saturday’s One O’Clock Show was Noel Dempsey saying that McEntee was under threat from Regina!

The only reason he said that, was to shore McEntee’s vote up – Why would he say that I wonder?

You can still get Regina at 5/1 – well worth a punt.

The people are also very concerned about handing the econmy over to a Rabbitte/Kenny combination. Very suspect.

If you seriously think anyone in Co. Westmeath, which is stranded/exiled in the so-called Meath West constituency, is going to cast their votes for GG, you are demented.

Just as well you have used the acronym GG, as most Westmeath people can’t even bear to speak his name, for reasons which should be perfectly obvious.

BTW, last spotted GG in my village about 5. yes FIVE, weeks ago, scuttling around dropping leaflets into doors, and not stopping, or looking, for an auld chat about GAAAA or even politics.

Jeez, how are we going to vote in this benighted enclave, not a westmeath person in sight, of course excepting Higgins, who has about one poster here.

Poor Irish Pancake. I guess you’ll have to complain to the boundary commission. Still don’t worry – we’re not into ethnic cleansing. We’ll let you guys live in relative peace. If its any consolation the Careys are originally from Kilbeggan and there are still some of us down there.
Has Higgins showed up? Apparently he believes he will automatically get all Westmeath FG votes since he’s from there….

That’s really good to know, but don’t worry, if they ever bring back the National Song Contest, we may give you Meath guys a consolation vote, just like Albania/Kosovo Serbia/Yugoslavia/Croatia…….get’s hard to remember them all.

No sign of the aforementioned Higgans, and he better not rely on his beliefs regarding his local credentials.

As a matter of interest, Joe Reilly of Sinn Fein is probably the most visible in our enclave, but this is not a reliable indicator of the intentions of the sour Westmeath displaced persons.

The real victim of course will be the bewigged one, who surely can’t make it without North Westmeath FF support.

Plus he has Mammy rampaging all over Mullingar and no hope of picking up votes in Longford regardless of how lazy Peter Kelly is…
