Each town has its coterie :-) And bigger ones like Athboy and Navan would have their share of council estates with football loving votes. Oh, and I hear he (GG) is big with the women too. You know I still don't know how to vote. Labour aren't in the running in MW so its all about the FG vote. But in which order? Morally, English is entitled to the No. 1 but GG might be struggling and need all the ones he can get. I guess we'll have to see what the last minute polls are saying and re-assess tactics then.
Anyone in any other constituency wondering about voting strategy? I'm really curious about Dun Laoighre Rathdown. I think FG made a big mistake there not getting a woman on the ticket. My liberal anti-FF friends don't know what to do. Fiona O'Malley is a good person in the wrong party. Ciaran Cuffe is also decent but the Greens aren't sound on the coalition yet. Eamon Gilmore is an obvious choice, but I doubt many of the bourgeois women will go for him. Mary Hanafin will of course top the poll. I sincerely hope anyone considering voting for her will ask her what her problem with ABA is.
I was talking to one woman in DL-R recently who was saying why should she vote against the government, because they have everything they want. I said, but your child's not autistic. Don't think about your child, remember the autistic child and ask Mary Hanafin why she's against ABA. We'll see....

not to be funny but is there a working class vote in meath? surely it's a peasant vote? any working class voters are likely to be displaces dubs and therefore not likely to vote for a meath star. or is there a large industrial/urban base in navan i've missed out on?
