my God Bruton is pathetic!
what the fuck is he saying? what is he thinking? McDowell is on the ropes and all he can do is burble on about nothing. He even admited that McDowell’s comments had upset him!
1. Accept the apology.
2. Repeatedly play it cool and indicate you were at no point upset
3. Say it reflects badly on Mr McDowell (subtext: contrast my own behaviour)
4. Repeat the original claim OVER AND OVER AGAIN
this makes Bruton look grown up whilst winding McDowell up even more.

Amazing… Ricky boy has an open goal.. and all he does is manage to make McDowell look as if he(McD) has been wounded…. You’d wonder what goes on in them FG lads’ minds… if anything!

Personally, I was screaming for Richard to gut him. McDowell’s comment about playing the man not the ball should have allowed him to say that crime isn’t a game.
