How much of your time (or someone else's) did you spend paying for those taps? Not to mention the whole kitchen? Don't forget to include the interest if you borrowed the money, or the tax you had to pay on the money before you got to spend it. I usually find that a quick, scary calculation like this stops me from buying anything I don't need. Doesn't stop my wife though :-( Time = Money.
